Black Panther Wakanda Forever has just been released in theaters with Martin Freeman. Giving his best to Walt Disney Pictures the Marvel Studios. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever producer Nate Moore talked about the pronunciation, or rather the pronunciations, of Namor's name in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

I was talking to a friend yesterday and she said that, you know, sometimes people come to America. And their name isn't pronounced the way it was, you know, thought of and given to them, Davis said. Is that something you wanted to do in this movie? Is that something you wanted to convey about the character?
Yes,” Moore replied. Nämor, I would say, obviously was given that name by someone in the film as well. So, it's not even something that comes from him.
But there is definitely a way that a Spanish-speaking, or even a Mayan-speaking person, would say Nämor. Compared to a way that an English-speaking person, or someone who has a slightly more Western edge, might say.
Nāmor and we thought it was interesting. I mean, it's a reality that people have to face, and it felt more genuine than everyone saying it correctly, to be honest.
